About the Stay Bohemia Project

Saving a place with a soul.

This is the main idea behind the Stay Bohemia project, born from a deep desire to preserve Villa Bohemia – a unique 19th-century building standing on the shore of the Lipno reservoir in the village of Černá v Pošumaví.

Villa's Story

It was built by the Schwarzenberg family

Villa Bohemia has witnessed more than a century of changes in the landscape, the people, and history itself. Every stone carries the imprint of a time when nobility, craftsmen, fishermen, and local residents crossed paths and lived in harmony with nature.

In 2025, the process of its rescue began.

The villa has been closed for many years, yet it has kept its extraordinary charm. The goal is to restore Villa Bohemia with care, preserve its value, and transform it into a place that connects culture, music, nature, and human stories.

First Steps of the Rescue

Czech Television created a report about the villa.

On 19 September 2025, regional Czech Television filmed a report about the Stay Bohemia project and the rescue of historic Villa Bohemia.

Media attention is crucial for finding a suitable buyer or patron who will appreciate the historical and cultural value of this place.

"A historic villa by Lake Lipno is facing demolition. The 150-year-old building could give way to a new apartment resort. But a young volunteer is determined to save it — a house that once belonged to a noble family."

Radio Interview

Thank you to everyone who believes that even the impossible is worth trying

On 23 October 2025, I was a guest on the programme Cesty k úspěchu on NetroLife Radio (100.8 FM).

We talked about the story of Villa Bohemia, about the first visit that changed everything, and about why it matters to save places with a soul.

Honestly — I was quite nervous, but that's part of every beginning.

It was a conversation about courage, faith, and a dream that refused to remain just a dream.

Will you be the one to breathe life into this unique place?
